Laptop cooling devices?

Does anyone have any experience with products like lapinator or Xpad for keeping laptops cool?

I have that one too. I lost the power cable some time ago, so I can't use the fans anymore, but it still serves it's purpose.

I rarely actually use a laptop on my lap but I have a stand for when it's on a desk that works pretty nicely. I don't remember what it's called, though.

My uncle would use a baking sheet for his when it was on his lap and that seemed to work pretty well for him.
