I am really digging the Nudie and APC jeans. But I've never dealt with them before, all I've used are Levi's my whole life. To be specific I love my 501 straight leg, and I've come to the point where I feel I should give slim fits a try. So I was looking at the Nudie Slim Jims, my question is do they shrink when washed?(or should i even wash them at all?) along with the APC New Standards?

My true waist is 32 well 31 but its sorta uncomfortable, do these two brands go bye true sizes or should I go a step higher or step lower?

depending on the APC jean you might go one or two sizes lower.

I recommend you look at the APC thread that I believe is currently lingering on the first or second page, it should help.

Both, and yes, but to a lesser degree. You should peruse the threads stickied to the top of the S&D forum (Beginner's Denim, Quick questions, etc.), as well as the APC and Nudies threads.

1. Shrinkage after wash doesn't matter 'cause they stretch back very quickly
2. Size down two from your true waist size for APCs
3. I'm still waiting for Ken to swoop in and tell us why APC actually blows hard.

I'm willing to start the thread, but I need a few more days to determine the loyalty of my constituents.

But, seriously, APCs suck.

I would take A.P.C's over Nudies just because Nudies have those ugly ass design on the pockets.

The nudies will stretch an inch or two from wear but will shrink back to how they were when you bought them new.

The APC's are vanity sized so size down 2-3 from your levis size for the new standards. The stretch a lot from wear so determine how much to size down depending on how tight you want them.
