If you like heavy metal, every song you listen to, needs to give a nod to Toni Iommi.

I love Sabbath. In my high school typing class (gotta luv meaningless electives), we were allowed to play music, and the only music that was allowed was Sabbath and Led Zeppelin. Made the class actually enjoyable.

I am not into much of their stuff, but Paranoid is a killer tune.

Their first five albums are compare favorably to any other rock album ever recorded.

I was thinking more along the line of "Helter Skelter" but hey, to each it's own right?

It's not a matter of taste here, it's a matter of historical fact, no matter how random it was. Iommi lost the tips to some fingers on his left hand, in an industrial accident. Instead of quitting guitar, or trying to change hands, he tuned his guitar down, thus requiring less pressure on the strings. Not only did it allow him to play, it started the signature sound of heavy metal.

Vol 4 was one of the first records I remember buying at Sam Goody (or maybe EJ Korvette's?) along w/ Abraxas and GFR Phoenix. Masters of Reality & Paranoid followed quickly thereafter....

I know it's solo Ozzy... but "Blizzard of Oz" has gotten me through many a boring roadtrip. "Revelation: Mother Earth" and "Mr. Crowley" are perhaps the finest air-guitarable songs in existence.
