cheapest bespoke suit?

I live in Orange county/ LA area and need to byte the bullet and buy my first suit.

I remember reading that some people can measure you in America and send the measurements to China.
Is this an option? Where/how would I go about doing this?

Tons have been written about this already. Search WW Chan and Hemanranji. But these aren't bespoke, they are MTM.

I personally wouldn't go this route. You're better off with a local MTM tailor if you need to save money or have a limited budget. Thick as Thieves is a good choice. They have a conservative cut that's less fashion forward and should be quite versatile. If you state your budget, it might be easier for everyone to offer suggestions.

Chan is bespoke and the clothes fit if you get a fitting. The fitting means the stuff takes at least six months.

Better fit, fabric and tailoring than TAT at 2-3 times the price.

I'm still hoping Chan, or even just Hemrajani, will come to London at some point. They seem to be in a different US city every week yet never come to the UK...

In answer to the OP, I use Chan, but Hemrajani does maintain a permanent office right by South Coast Plaza and so might be more convenient. I believe they are slightly less expensive than Chan for similar work with the same fabrics.

As to the relative merits of Chan and Hemrajani I can't comment, having no experience with the latter. I have been extremely satisfied with the garments provided by Chan.

I visited the Hemrajani office near SCP and was measured by his nephew (nice guy)... I even looked through a bunch of books and picked the fabrics for my shirts... I'm very happy with the outcome...
