Here are my latest loafers.

I had a pair of EG Harrow and didn't like the low vamp (same with the RLPL model), nor the lack of lining.

I only have two pairs of loafers - EG/RLPL Barksdale and C&J Merton. I'm slowly warming up to them but I don't think I could wear a black loafer.

I have one pair, the EG Montpellier in Edwardian. I never wear them. Maybe next summer?

What's it about the big city that makes the two of you so dour?

Short mayor?

Oh, and GDL...can I convince you to build out a closet for grimmy?

He needs it.

+1 on the Vass weejun. I think the 3rd should be the NST loafer with handsewn apron from EG or JL like the Ashley.

I don't understand the hate for Eden and Parson. They look much better when worn. More power to vox.

Matty, are your U-last loafers a skinstitched penny, like my Vass here:

I always thought it started with Eastern Frat Boys of Priviledge (EFBP's).

Back to the OP: Why not go the "Full LabelKing" and get a pair in Croc or other exotic skins. I've been wearing this pair lately (...yes, in public). Though they are decidedly below your station you might find some more suitable.

Sometimes having really nice, polished leather doesn't work with loafers.

I like these:

More than these:

They are a U-last penny, but with a regular hand stitched apron, not skin stitched. They are also in a more appropriate color, though that combo looks very nice.
