Gossip Girl is god awful. I was forced to watch it once and wanted to blow my brains out. Wodehouse on the other hand is amazing. Different strokes, I guess.

I think some of his outfits are alright but they are loud for the sake of loudness.

Thats why I said chuck bass, the characters name... rather than Ed Westwick, the actors.

while i don't think he looks the part exactly, i'd say the flashy clothes he wears match the character.

I've always had mixed feelings about the character's style, because I'm probably about 3 flamboyant outfits away from sartorially mind-melding with him. That said, he's generally a bit "more flounce to the ounce" to be truly great and some of those silhouettes, fabrics and colour combos hurt the eyes on occasion

I like his style a lot, and yes, not everyone can pull it off.

This is faulty logic.

Indeed. Television production budgets are usually fairly small - there is would be no reason for a show to needlessly spend an extra $800 on a prop when a cheaper one would suffice.

I like his (the character's) style. It works well for him, and would work for anyone in his socioeconomic situation as well (with a pinch of good looks thrown into the pot). I view Chuck Bass as something like a runway show - interesting, visually-pleasing, but not at all practical for the common man.
