I'm hoping items that are now 40% off will go to 50% off starting the 25th. If so, then with the additional 15% off, things will be at an attractive price for me.

I thought I was on the Brooks list, but I haven't gotten the e-mail. Can someone paste it here?

With the sale in mind, let's play This or This.

Same price.

I have those exact C&Js and they are perfect. Very comfortable also. They're my go-to shoe and after 3 years of solid wear, they're now my true workhorse.

I would skip on the Sargents. Quality not as good, IMO (especially upper leather quality). I especially like the AS's triple stitching on the toe cap. Looks too much like Allen Edmonds. I prefer the punched cap and the swan's neck stitching on the C&J. The C&J is a classic round-toe last, like the EG 202 (but not as nice, as it's not EG!).

FWIW I'm a UK 9.5E in C&J 337 and 341 lasts and a US 11D in this C&J for Peal shoe.

I think it's going to get steeply discounted.

I'm leaving my options open for "that" but I just don't know what that is yet.

Thanks. The AS fits slightly better, with a little more room in the toebox and I do like the double sole it offers, but I agree that the C&J is a nicer looking shoe.

Are we going to get 15% discount of current sale price or is it going to be even cheaper?I am looking at second pair as well.

I'm hoping items will be cheaper, and then have an additional 15% off. My wish list will grow if there are more reductions.

I hope so as well. $366, less 15%, plus tax > buying C&J direct from pediwear w/ the pound under $1.50. The easy returns with Brooks Brothers are worth something. It's just that the current price less 15% is not really a deal w/ the strong dollar.

Is that punched captoe a C&J model?

Yes, and the last is too short on that shoe for my tastes. Looks too stumpy.
