I think it's been agreed that American Optical and Randolph aviators are the same beast. My AO pair in matt chrome arrived today, and it's a really solid piece of equipment...
Just got an awesome deal on ebay. If these are too feminine (though, the Nebbs seem to be the favorite pick for males here) I will gift them to my girlfriend for her birthday because she would LOVE these.
Anyone know if the glass in American Opticals is the same as that in Randolph Engineering. I have a pair of the latter that I really like and would like another in a different frame size/color. If the glass is the same, I'll get them from the cheaper American Optical distributors.
To be honest, most people wont be able to tell the difference even if you give them both side by side. Youre basically banking that the distributors are telling the truth.
