Has anyone looked into this offer? It seems like a good deal. $2500 for overcoats in the best fabric to the highest standard of workmanship (I base this on having tried Ambrosi and Bugelli on Alden's recommendation). Obviously jackets are not going to fit as well as if one were fitted in person, but I have never thought that the fit of overcoats makes that much of a difference (I am talking about the finest details, not grossly). Anyone considering it? I have been banned from London Lounge so I am not sure I can even participate. Maybe if I beg...

Are you looking for this offer for yourself or as a genric overview of what it looks like on other people? The reason being that if you are banned it is unlikely you will be able to do something on your own or for yourself through the forum (at least directly).

I would say that it makes every bit of difference. I mean you cant just make an overcoat for someone without seeing the person and if so why bother with something like LL program. I am sure there are countless RTW makers who offer overcoats in a multitude of fabrics and design. However, fabric selction certainly maybe different.

um...Doc I doubt you will find any info on this here. I think that benchmade stuff and other new programs are likely for incoming visitors to LL or people who came after that article was published. Any of the old members of LL are highly specific in their tastes and most have steady established relationships with their tailors... so it is likely they will be going to them in the first place.

I have been out of touch with much of forum activities (here or LL) for past 9-10 months so I am not 100% up with the news.

just my thoughts

Dr. Bresch! I was just talking about you today! I hope you stay longer this time.

The London Lounge MTO coats seem very nice, unfortunately I am on a much shorter leash now that I have returned from teh Freedomz. Perhaps someone with similar body measurements can proxy for you?

$2,500 for long-distance MTM (where you just provide a few basic measurements) is just plain silly. Isn't Steed $2,700 anyway? Mahon is perhaps a coule hundred more.

Yes, at recent dollar to pound exchange rates, a bespoke overcoat from Edwin is $2.7K.

My tailor (Centofanti) is wonderful by any standard and I am not sure that I sang his praises forcefully enough. But that does not mean that I do not enjoy my Ambrosi trousers, which if nothing esle, show me a regional style of tailoring I have no access too..

Isn't everyone on london lounge dressed like a crazy geezer from the 1910s? Why would you trust them with your clothing choices?

Never been there, photos some posted weren't conductive to appreciating the outfits (they sucked!), being an asshole. Next time I'll send you a PM explaining how I roll to avoid any confusion.
