Mine is still a pair of dark brown paul smith starrs. I won't buy them unless they're significantly discounted and at a time I have money. But I have been seeking them in my size for many months. I have come close on several occasions, finding a lighter brown, or a black (which I nearly did buy at 250 cdn) but never quite managed to get a pair. So far.

What size are you sir (UK)? I might have a source that I am not willing to disclose until I get a pair. ;]

Belstaff Roadmaster leather jacket in dark brown or black. Hard to find this brand in L.A. I have the waxed cotton which I got at Barney's in Bev. Hills. Am waiting for them to get a new shipment and put it all on sale...

I don't have a specific branded item that I consider my holy grail (as if I knew what it was, I would likely save up and buy it). There are a few things though that I'm constantly looking for the perfect iteration of.

Number 1 on my list would probably be the perfect, black leather motorcycle jacket. What makes this complicated is that not only do I want it to be perfect looking, but I also want it to be functional for riding a motorcycle. That means it needs to have the arms cut long and the shoulders loose enough for reach out and grabbing the bars without pulling the sleeves way up, plus be thuogh enough that it would provide abrasion protection in a crash. All that on top of it looking blindingly cool.

My search continues...

Welcome back! Now go to the CE and start a thread about the Russian armed forces current state and a couple about tragic/absurd deaths so I feel at home.

most of these wants dont sound like "holy grail" things, but just stuff geezers dont have the money to buy, but otherwise readily available

not sure if a holy grail garment exists for me...the closest I can think of is the perfect burgundy casual jacket in a brushed cotton. Have seen the actual jackets but always in navy, black or brown, never in burgundy (and I want a dark oxblood burgundy)
