I'm traveling to Italy next week and I'm reading about how much its raining (flooding) over there and I wanted to get some good shoes/boots that are comfortable to walk in, ok to walk in puddles and possible heavy rain, but looks decent enough to go out for dinner. I don't want to bring 2 pairs of shoes, so I sorta want this to be versatile shoe.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I always bring along at least 2 pairs of shoes- just so I can give one pair rest after a day's wearing. Then again if you're in Italy....

Since it is raining, a pair of chukka boots would probably be a good option.
