AUS members who iron their own clothes: what is the best iron available in Australia?

In a nutshell, most Philips or Sunbeam irons are good.
Philips has a good line out in stores right now. Sunbeams are cheaper, but often do not have 'de-calc' capability though - something to think about if the water in your area is especially hard.

I had a Sunbeam and now have a Phillips.
I cannot remember the model designations, but the steam function is much better on my current, Phillips iron than it was on the Sunbeam.
I always line dry my shirts in the sun and then, when ironing, give them a gentle spray with water from a spray bottle. As apropos states above, it really helps to get out the micro-creases and gives the shirts extra crispness.
I should add that my iron has a cordless function, but I never use it as the iron cools too quickly and you then have to replace it on the base station and wait for a minute or two for it to charge/heat up again. I won't bother buying a cordless iron again, as there seems to be little point.
