+1. I'm trying to stay all cred-ed out with some ambient noise shizz (new Fennesz is pretty intense) and I keep putting on fuckin Robocop.

word. a friend came into my house while the west album was on and asked if i was listening to lionel ritchie. mission accomplished, mr. west.

say, anyone hear that Darryl Hall solo record called "Sacred Songs" produced by Robert Fripp circa 1977? i am a H & O fan, as well as a King Crimson fan, so this sounds too good to be true.

that's awesome. i met kool and the gang at 11 or so, backstage pass, the whole thing.

i bought my friend the Gulliver LP, Darryl Hall's first major label band, circa 1968, philadelphia-based. actually really good, from the one song i heard. darryl shares vocal duties with the entire band. there's apparently a bootleg called "early Hall and Oates" or something, that includes Gulliver songs with Hall singing instead of some of the other dudes---supposed to be really good.

I am stuck in a Disco and Funk groove as of late. So I been jamming to Slave, Brothers Johnson and Bootsy Collins.

Old stuff, but relatively new to me since I haven't listened to it lately.

'House of GVSB' - GVSB
'Greatest Hits' - Joe Jackson
'Harmacy' - Sebadoh

New(ish) stuff
'Chemical Chords' - Stereolab

Rite Time just can't be good, can it? Monster Movie isn't high on my list of Can records, it just doesn't seem like Can to me without Damo Suzuki; plus being a late 80s Can recording doesn't bode well.
