Beautiful. Do you have any shoes you have never worn?

Very nice. Be sure to keep those reindeer shoes polished -- they get really stiff otherwise.

Absolutely stunning! Are those leather savaged from a 19th century ship wreck? I thought it's called Russian calf? How do you care for them. The polish on the other one looks very much like Vass' Italian polish.

+1 inquiring minds want to know. Portnoy buys like a pair of $1000 shoes a week, leaving aside his expansive purchases of all sale clothing at Paul Stuart and Bergdorf.

Good God.

"Russia calf" refers to an old form of Russian tanning, in vats of willow bark and then treated with birch oil. Sometime called willow calf as well.

The Pirate's Booty leather is indeed Rudolf.

BTW, A., don't wear them until your butler has polished them for five years first.

That reminds me -- where's the Russia Calf card case Cleverley was giving out as a freebie with your order?

And don't forget his upcoming mythical seamless wholecut from Scarfora.
