does anyone know how slim their slim shirts are? I looked it up in the slim shirt thread, but got some differing opinions.

Yeah website is slow and none of the current discount codes work with the offer.. Might not be that good of a deal anymore. I got my 5 shirts a week ago for less than 20 pounds a piece after all the discounts stacked up.

They fit me about the same as a BB slim fit, which is to say they are not all that slim, but much slimmer than their regular fit. I like their fit straight out of the box, but I'm rarely called slim (6'3" 220ish, 44L).

And yes their site is brutally slow today.

collars are tight - i had to size up a half size relative to my BB collar size. But that was 3 years ago, so the specs have changed.

I'm waiting for a batch of francomb shirts to arrive. order 4 for 77 pounds, shipped. we'll see if they arrive; my credit card company flipped out and i had to call them to get the order to go through; we'll see if anything else happens.

I am pleased with their slim fit shirts. In my opinion, they do fit slim. FYI, the "rics" code worked as of last night. With this code, their 'end of range' ties are free for every shirt you buy. Also, their regular ties come out to be about 4.5 pounds with this code. I ended up with six shirts and five ties for 118 pounds shipped.

On a side note from the shirts, does anyone have any experience with Lewin's suits? In general, I am wondering how they compare to Brooks Brother's 1818 Fitz, in fit, quality, and construction. I need a few workhorse suits, and, with discount codes, Lewin's does not seem bad for 169 pounds.

Along with the shirt I got two of their suits:

The solid navy twill
The Piccadilly dark grey

I don't have any experience with BB so I can't compare. My Lewin suits are of a slim cut (plenty for my gigantic 6'6" 275lb frame) with low rise trousers. Cuff buttons but no working cuffs. Half-canvass construction. The fit for me is excellent, needing little if any attention from my tailor. I don't find the jacket to be too boxy. I like the weight of the fabric as well. The suits seem a great value for the price.

I think they have a generous return policy so you may want to pick one up and try it out. I am pleased with mine and will probably pick up some more.

Thanks for the info. I ordered one to check it out. What you described is almost exactly what I am looking for.
