Hey guys (locals), can we get some ideas for food that doesn't involve sushi? Mauro's talking about slidders but I think Brett and a couple of others were worried about POTA (pissing out the ass) syndrome. I was thinking something along the lines of BBQ or tri-tip that we can just eat with toothpicks/barehands, just something that'll coat our stomaches (greasy foods) while we drink the town dry.

Ray's != White Castle. If Mauro actually gets the hookup from Ray's, you will be satisfied.

Otherwise, I don't know what's in Clarendon--too white for me. Isn't there a Rocklands BBQ down there? How's that?

Bourbon will be the only condiment allowed at the snack table.

Rocklands is decent. The pulled pork is good, but they don't know **** about brisket.

As far as small appetizer things are concerned:

Nice bread and gourmet cheese platter! Some kick ass blue, gorgonzola, and other cheese to blow us away. Complete with killer baguettes or something.

Sweet potato fries with some kind of cool dipping sauce

bruschetta

mini spring rolls

others i can't think of at the moment

I remember around the memorial day party planning thread, mauro mentioning a possible Charm City (ace of cakes people) cake for a holiday party. Would be cool to get featured on the show for something. Too late now obviously, but don't think i forgot.
