chelseas supposed to be loose on heel/ankle?

I just received these in the mail http://www.piperlime.com/browse/prod...searchCID=4016 They are my size, they fit lengthwise and width, and feel great around my foot, but when I walk it feels like my heel is going to slip out, and it does about 1/2 cm, then the shoe catches and holds. I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this question, but I want to give them the benefit of the doubt and ask because they're so nice otherwise. EDIT: I think this would make sense if they're looser around the ankles than regular boots because there are no laces.

+1. FWIW, I've never managed to find a pair of Chelsea's that fit me well (didn't slip).

They should be quite snug around your ankles. That's why the elastic is there and that's what keeps them on your feet.

I put on thicker socks and they fit better but not as snug as I'd expect but...

I put on my current everyday boots that I wear without lacing sometimes and they slip a whole lot more but I had never noticed. It never bothered me because slippage was to be expected when not lacing. It also seems like if the chelseas were any more snug then they it would be a battle to put them on.

I agree that they should be snug, but since i wear boots that are loose all the time maybe it won't be a problem for me.

I think I will go to a store and try on others to see if they fit more snug, or if I'm going to be like Hard2Fit and not find any that fit properly.

I think you should take this as a blessing in disguise and return them if possible, especially if you paid $275.99.

They probably won't last past the first year.
