This is a difficult question and your true broad knowledge of clothes will be tested.
Background: I'm shopping for my Mom (Xmas) and she has requested that I find her some outdoorsy sort of clothes. She lives on a small ranch in the hill country of Texas and really doesn't own much of anything beautiful or particularly well constructed (though she used to and grew up shopping at Neiman's in Dallas. Her mom even had The Marcus of Neiman Marcus try and seduce her away from her husband - true story!)
Question: What is a women's equivalent of something like Engineered Garments (outdoorsy, tough clothes that are at home on the trail or ranch but are feminine) I have been dismayed by the selection and hideousness at LLBean and REI and am trying to find alternatives which aren't too expensive. I know that EG had a line called FWK, but it is really only available in Japan from what I can tell (and course will probably be pricey).
Help!
