Tonight it was Aqua di Parma. Once it "settles" (for me that takes 30 minutes to an hour), it's really fantastic as an evening fragrance. Use extremely sparingly.

Okay, good. Glad we got that cleared up.

For a fashion brand, I think Etro's scents are some of the best, most original, and most interesting scents out there (Comme des Garcons being another, though for different reasons). Most fashion brands try to make an "it" fragrance to make them a lot of cash, but Etro actually tries to make excellent, classic scents that round out their wardrobe. They have an excellent, unique sandalwood (Saldalo), a Patchouli, a very nice eponymous scent (Etra Etro), a leather (Gomma), etc etc. They cover all the bases and the packaging, too, is very simple and nice. Anyway, for me today is Fresh Cannabis Rose.

Initially tried on some Brandy EDT without blotting a couple drops on a piece of a papper to sample. Big mistake. Scrubbed both wrists until raw then applied some Egoiste Platinum.

Guerlain Pamplelune for me today... grapefruit, vanilla, and patchouli makes for a very unique citrus with depth and some funk.

Had a bunch of samples shoved on me recently, so I'm slowly working through them. Yesterday was Escada Moon Sparkle, which reminded me a little too much of an air freshener.

Today is Burberry Touch, which I'm enjoying. Unique scent, but with just enough male assertiveness in the mix.

Jil Sander Stylessence EdP Intense today. A dark, rich, very "modern" sort of scent and one of the few with a discernible hinoki (Japanese cypress) note. It sort of reminds me of a 23rd century version of Costume National Scent Intense, only drier and less heavy.
