wife has made it clear she doesn't want a gift this year as we're saving for a big 10th anniversary trip in the summer. however, i can't let her not have something to open. just did the spa thing for her birthday. want to spend @ $200-250. thoughts?

A nice handbag is always an option. You would be surprised how much $200-$250 will get you in this economy.

I'd get her some gemstone earrings off of Blue Nile or the like.

$250 will buy you a plane ticket to fly a babysitter up from florida so you and the misses can have a nice night out on the town

Spa tickets are always a safe bet though. Some kind of more lighthearted fun jewelry as opposed to something dressy/formal as like you said, it's not supposed to be a big fancy gift.

women LOVE cartier love bracelets. They might be a bit more than 200 but who cares, just don't tell her. It's one those things she'll love you for and it doesn't seem that expensive.

nonono, you're thinking about ed morel's thread where he asks the same question. This is for kunk's wife.
