I'm guessing nice materials, detailed construction, and made in the U.S.

The fabric and construction methods used were expensive. Things like the one piece underarm reinforcement (rather than having it in two pieces) requires an extra step in the construction, and so on. The high quality hardware is not cheap either... The retail would have been more except that Apolis ate some of their margin.

They don't have a discount code but I believe they have a context cash thing, where you get context cash for every $100.

This looks great

Waxed 12 oz. cotton? That has got to be one heavy shirt.

The combination of oiled finish and blue insides will probably yield a pretty kick ass patina. Looks like some quality idears were put into this piece.

It's essentially a jacket that costs the same as a BoO oxford. Not a bad price methinks.

I'm a little dazed that I've just paid this much for a heavy shirt, but it's like someone reached into my head and extracted exactly the kind of thing I'd want. I am powerless in the face of such things.

I'll field this one. You see, it actually costs more to put the pocket on the right side of the shirt vs. the left.

Ain't that right, Wonderful Counselor?
