20+ yr old LL Bean camp mocs that my dad bought for me when I was in 8th grade:

Soles are worn and there's some cracking on the sides, but in great shape otherwise:

Yep. They might've been a little big then, but I think my feet'd stopped growing already by 13/14.

Does Bean still offer resoling? Iirc, they used to advertise resoling services (for their mocs and penny loafers) in their catalogs years ago.

^Very nice. Any particular adv/disadvantages of lined vs. unlined shell loafers?

I'm not sure. Website says they'll resole boots.

I'm sure that opinions will vary on the issue but I was able to comfortably wear the lined double soled in cold weather unlike the unlined. The lined also felt more substantial on my feet. The single soled unlined is more slipper like at my weight of 238.

I'm glad to see this thread still going, some great submissions BTW. Know what I'd love to see? I'd love to see some progression shots, a shoe that was posted when newly acquired, then posted again after it has been worn. Like what I did on the Stanton thread.
