Here's some pics I took at the toronto zoo on tuesday. It was a horrible day to go, actually. -7 deg and lots of the exhibits were closed. Not a huge surprise, really, but I wanted to play with my new lens a bit. These are all shot with the my e-3 + 50-200mm f2.8-3.5 SWD and sometimes the EC14 1.4 teleconverter. There was no sun for most of the day and I the batteries were dead for my flash, so I mostly shot at 800 and 1600 iso.

Thanks. I was pretty happy with them overall, especially since I didn't have a monopod and I was shooting at up to 560mm equiv on an overcast day. I also wasn't sure how 1600iso would look, but combined with IS it seems to have allowed me to get pretty sharp images, despite the less than ideal shutter speed on some of them. I'm loving my e-3 and new glass.

More random stuff I just processed over the last few days. I free-handed the night shots.

^ Thank you.

The lightning shot is spectacular. What time of day was that shot?

^ The above is one of my favorite shots I've ever taken. Everything just comes together in my opinion.

Summertime, 9:50pm. Despite the clarity of the shot, it was severely raining then.
