Hi Guys,

I think ghillie shoes and boots are very much an acquired taste that is never acquired by the many.

Who actually wears one....... and when?

French iGents would be all over that.

Bagpipers wear them.

Supposedly real-life ghillis might wear them?

I don't, not even with my ghilli suit

I kid you not, the French iGent community would be all over ghillies like stink on a polecat.

Didn't a famous french forum post a short article on your Delos order featuring such lacing?

I like them. I saw a pair Gaziano made for an acquaintance and they were awful looking, but the overall style is kind of cool.

Does anyone know a place to buy a decent pair on the net? All the new ones (and most of the used ones) on eBay are made of plastic.

Unless you need them for some event, I would just wait on ebay. I remember a pair last year of Crockett and Jones ghillies, formerly worn by Johnny Gill (yes that Johnny Gill (yes there is a pun)) which ended for under $40.00.

Stock RTW ghillie from Saint Crispin's:

If you want less Norwegian, and more Scotsman, I'm sure that they can happily accommodate you.
