Watches & Cuffs (for those who hate cuffs getting stuck on watches)

Some info which might be of use to people who are bothered by shirt cuffs getting stuck on watches and preventing sleeve from showing. For MTM I have my cuffs done in different diameters, a larger one for my watch hand, a smaller one for the other. However, the cuff was never quite big enough to comfortably slide on and off the watch or if it was, it felt too loose. For RTW, I would, just leave the cuff button undone on my watch hand, but this was a bit messy because the cuff would open too much. I stumbled on a new solution for MTM shirts, which is to get an elongated two button barrel cuff, and leave the outermost button undone on the watch hand. Keeps the cuff tight, but leaves enough wiggle room for it to slide comfortably over the watch. Anal, I know.

Try having your buttons moved as needed.

you would never have this issue if you had a pocket watch in you vest now!

Im not sure what kind of watch you are wearing but I don't seem to have that problem currently.

Nothing big, 36-37mm watches on fairly slender wrists. Nonetheless, I like my cuffs quite tight and my sleeves a bit shorter which means they end just before the palm.

the best solution is not to wear a watch.

That is an individual decission. So it does not work for most of the gents here.

Wasn't there a thread with a lot of solutions (longer cuff link or some kind of suspenders) not long ago?!
