The CoOp I went to didn't have APC in, even the sales people were surprised that was the case. I wanted to try some on.

Does anyone know if Crate jeans are always dry selvage? I was looking at a pair online and they don't have the selvage belt loop. Thanks.

Actually, I was wondering the same question. However, I'd already pulled the trigger on a pair of Route's. We'll see on Monday, I guess.

Did you buy that pair of Routes on Ebay? If so, the seller informed me that they were not selvage. I think they were fairly old stock. The measurements of that pair did not match measurements from Crate or from unko, who just bought a pair of Routes.

most current Crate jeans are selvedge. Routes and Journals are selvedge (unless you get the Route khaki which is not selvedge), the older cut Hamilton is selvedge.

The James and Sally were not selvedge.

Routes fit really true to size. My size 32 are 32 waist, 20 across hips, 12 across top of thigh and just shy of 8" at the hem. The fit is like a good slimfit, not skinny but slim. The inseam comes very long at 37" so most will want to hem them a bit

James was selvage for that special limited run (booya) and they currently are now, too.

I need to pick a pair of Routes in December. Liked the fit when I tried them on but I really didn't want to be tempted to wear them over my Journals right now.

Thanks, I think you just convinced me to pull the trigger since I've been looking for a cheap pair of jeans with a long inseam.

is it safe to say that the route has a fit somewhere on the spectrum between the NS and NC? If so, which one is it more like?

yeah, I saw that photo too, but then the shot on the context site looked much slimmer, almost NC-esque. that's why I was confused...

Context says the Journal has a rise of 8.5"... is this correct?
