I received a postcard for Brooks Brothers "Preferred Customer Event" next weekend, offering 15% off (25% off if you have their credit card, which I don't).

There are a couple of things I like at BB, but I'm not in a hurry. Am I right in thinking there will be another, better sale soon, perhaps around Thanksgiving?

(Also interested if anyone has news of upcoming sales at Ralph Lauren.)

How is Gant's stuff these days? I seem to recall something about them trying to relaunch the brand, but don't recall hearing anything after that.

I went Tuesday. It was 3 ties for $100. Suits were $649 each, I believe. Lots of selection in the different sizes. The LTD. line sucks but there was a fair amount of mainline stuff if that's what you are after.

Where is it?

I went yesterday. Sportcoats were $199 for blends, which would be pretty good, but most of it was crappy ltd line stuff. They seemed to have much more of that this time. Disappointing.
