So the Artimede sale has lamps generally 50% off with an additional 20% off today. I was thinking about the Tolemeo shaded lamp from $546 down to $200 but I really didn't need one right now. That and the fact that I went to the Pratesi sale first... Got a cashmere blanket - from $5050 down to $800. I think that was the best deal in the house.

Graaaah, I need to move to New York.

I wonder what they'll be charging for Sferra 1020TCs. Definitely worth the time if you're looking for new linens.

The sale is also a joint sale with Cappelini. Most pieces, including some iconic ones like LC2, are 40-50% off. Some of the mark downs are ridiculous like the gorgeous Cappelini Mondo dining table from $6000 to $1200.

Artemide and Knoll warehouse sales start next week, I'll post detail later.

I checked out the Knoll sale on Friday on which the second round of reduction took effect. The Barcelona chairs and ottomans were flying out the door at prices only slightly less than DWR across the street, while a Florence Knoll sofa in Spinneybeck Banff leather in spanking new condition reduced from $11000 to $7600 then to $6000 sit unsold. Loads of Saarinen tulip dinning tables and chairs many with "sold" stickers attached. In general, it's 30% off list price the first day, add'l 25% off the next and add'l 25-50% off the final day. The Knoll sale occures only every 2-3 years I was told.
