I'd have to like... use a lot of filler in that post. I fear I'd be exposed as a fraud.

I'm not asking anyone to appreciate, praise, or laud me. If you don't like reading or discussing something I think is worth mentioning every day, but isn't exactly worth starting a whole thread for - then stop reading my thread.

Sheesh. You guys act like I'm trying to convert you to my new religion or something.

Get over it.

Here's yesterdays:
The Encyclopedia of Life (EOL) is an ambitious project to organize and make available via the Internet virtually all information about life present on Earth. At its heart lies a series of Web sites—one for each of the approximately 1.8 million known species. Each site is constantly evolving and features dynamically synthesized content ranging from historical literature and biological descriptions to stunning images, videos and distribution maps. Join us as we explore the richness of Earth’s biodiversity!
http://www.eol.org/ A very interesting project. Free, eventually will encompass and catalog all the known species of life on earth. What kills me, is that by any current estimate, Humans have only cataloged and named only (estimated) 10-40% of the species we share this planet with. Most of the larger land animals are known, of course. But insects, and aquatic life still remains largely unexplored.

There's an Italian guy who likes to paint my photographs.

Sort of cool to see my pictures... differently. (sometimes, with strange DragonBall Z additions?!)

I really do love this. But not as much as I love the "official response"

“The umpire’s most vulnerable position on the field is right behind the line of scrimmage and sometimes gets right into the play. In this case, the umpire is there, he tries to defend himself by putting his arms up. The quarterback shifts direction a little bit and he puts his arms up. “He makes an attempt to defend himself. I know it may look different on video, but what we see is that he makes an effort to protect himself.”
Really? I like to defend myself by initiating contact and shoulder slamming people to the ground too. I mean, getting the hell out of the way, or sidestepping is nowhere NEAR as much fun, and makes it SOOO hard to defend yourself!

Awesomesauce.

I don't know what's more laughable: the actual tackle, or the fact that the QB was FLATTENED by the umpire!?

I missed Saturday's games this week, and would have loved to see this on the bigscreen.

Yeah, but if you have a huge guy in pads coming hard at you, you'd better get in on the action rather than just take it. Physics and all that. Had the QB hit him, the umpire (ref? what the hell) could have been seriously hurt.

The umpire stepped into the player.

This is a great thread. However Tokyo, you know you are days away from a drunken Connemara version of this.
