Hey guys, I'm moving into my own apartment in the next couple months to go to school - but I have no furniture.. Ive been browsing craigslist, and came across this couch which I can get for $80 - I dont have much to spend on furniture so my options are limited. Id like a simple, clean & masculine living space - so I figured a black leather couch would be a good starting point... Anyways can i get any opinions on this couch ? I dunno if ill find anything better in the $80 range :p

I see nothing wrong with it, looks pretty good for 80 bucks.

Black's a pretty strong color and with the couch being the largest thing in a room, it may dominate the room. They're usually better in a more neutral color especially given the look you're going for. You can't beat the price though.

One criticism about the couch: I think it has ugly legs but so do most other couches.

At that price I would take whichever one is in better condition.

Now fingers crossed it will fit in the 1br or studio apartment i find...
Wish i could afford a big LCD tv to go with it... Being a broke student in debt sucks

I really like the first one. Especially for $80! Snatch that up before someone else does!

The second one is terrible. Reminds me of my friend's apartment circa 1990. He also had of those couch/loveseat sets in black velour with pink, green, blue and silver fireworks patterns on them and wierd gold metal peacocks on his wall. It was horrible.....
