It came in today. So, let's hear your verdicts: can a short guy wear a double-breasted suit?

I'll take some follow-up photos in better light and maybe do a blog post later.

10+/10. You might want to stick with DBs for suits. I like your wedding suit very much, but this is really, really superb. The seated picture is a great way to see how fantastic those shoulders really are.

My wife agrees with you. I'm thrilled with the results.

It looks really good on you. So, an emphatic "yes" to your question.

The only thing I don't like about it, is the fullness of the sleeves. But that's a stylistic element of all your Rubinacci jackets right?

Also, is that part of a Wii Fit under your sofa?

I was wondering about that as well. The sleeves look a bit full, especially when positioned directly adjacent to the marvelously suppressed waist. The seated picture does not have this issue.

And after viewing this one a second time, the sleeves strike me as less-full compared to your other recently-posted photos, or at least the two doorway shots. Maybe it's a quirk of the camera angle, or the way you were standing. Maybe a bit of all three...

Yes, that's my wife's Wii Fit.

Yes, the sleeves are full; it's not an optical illusion. I have to say, once I became accustomed to sleeves like this, skinny ones just don't look right anymore.

Looks great.

Full of sleeves are a classic luxury & were long a sign of top-quality suit. Full sleeves are not to be confused with low armholes.

I like the sleeves just as they look now. I think the full sleeves balance the waist suppression in a good way. If you had skinny arms and a skinny waist, you'd just look skinny, which is probably not a good look on your frame. Instead of looking 16, as you often might with your boyish grin and body type, a thoroughly slim suit would make you look like you were 10 years old. Instead you look like a trim person with a luxurious coat. This is a grown-up look.

I also like the broad lapels on all the jackets. If you are a little man, you need some bold in your suit. Wide lapels are a great way to do that. Bold color is probably not a good way to do that because bold color is regarded as not serious.

The lapels not only look bold because they are big. They are also bold because they are on the wrong side of the recent fashion. The classic half the distance would probably look ok, but would not contribute. So I think the broader lapels add a good thing to all these jackets for Mr. 5' 4". They make you look more like you're 26. I like how they are subtly aggressive.

Looks awesome.

Is it rude to ask a short guy how tall he is?

Good show! It's a little like: we told you so.

I love the way you are thumbing your nose at the mindlessly repeated internet fora 'truisms' about what shorter men can't wear": DB coats, wide turn-ups on trousers. As we were saying in that recent trend: these things matter little. What really matters is FIT, FIT, and FIT. Get that right and you can just about wear whatever you want.

It doesn't get any better than that. For the same reasons, my future suits are going to be mostly DB as well.
