I thought the movie was due nov 7th, but in EU its oct 30th...
I just need to make to watch Casino Royale before I go watch the new one, just to freshen up my memory.
Its my belief that these new Bond movies with Daniel Craig is a major improvement and outshines the Brosnan era by far. However I dont believe that anyone can beat Connery.

I will only go see it as I grew up around the entire series and this current bond is pure BS. No english eccent and Q's interaction has been minimized so much they might as well write Q off the books for eternity.
If they want to keep the authencitiy then bring back a Bond who has an english accent.

I've read the first six books so far and as far as I recall Q has been mentioned maybe once? ... the excessive use of Q in the movies is what is bullshit ... the books were written through the sixties where people didn't use their mobile phone to control their car from the back seat ...

You do know that Daniel Craig is actually English right? He does have an English accent, even if it isn't very strong.

I think I remember there was a bit of news stating that Daniel Craig had gotten injured on set of QoS. I think they said he had to have plastic surgery, and that some of his defining facial features were non existant...Is this true?!?

gadgets can ruin bond because they take away from the potency of his personality. mainly we watch bond for his charm, wit and dauntless masculinity. he's as equally skilled at seducing stunningly attractive women as he at defeating rich, powerful and dangerous male opponents. the more bond relies on tools the less powerful he appears. the gross employment of technology would also violate bond's sense of chivalry, which is described in Fleming's novels.
