I was wearing the black spring version of the Dakota Jacket last night. Had one guy ask specifically what it was and how to get it. I recommended the brown waxed for fall. Hoping to see it around. Love that jacket in all of its forms.

imo the dakota this season fits small. I tried one on at barneys and had to size up to a 42 (usually am a 40)

STORE OPENING ALERT!

Due to no one following their scheduled appointments with us, we have a hitch in what we hoped would be an easy and perfect soft open for the Clarendon store. We're still open for business, so you can still stop by and shop, but we may not have the register up and running right at noon. If you'd like to come at a later hour, we're open til 6 and I would very much appreciate the chance to have everything in working order for you all.

Call us if you have any questions! Laura and I will be here all day.

Uhm, I didn't have a camera with me so I didn't take pictures of the store. These are the jeans I got though:

I think you'll like the jacket a lot. I was at the store yesterday and almost bought it myself. It has a great cut and the waxed cotton looks very cool (though it is super heavy and doesn't breathe at all). I noticed that the lining is removable, by the way - that may help since you said you are worried about it being too warm.

even better! the weather here does get cold, especially at night, so it'll be nice to have the option of a liner. thanks for the info.
