It arrived a couple of days ago, a welcome palliative from all the destruction in the storm's wake.

For those keeping score at home, here are the details: 3 roll 2; 11oz. indigo Donegal tweed from the H&S Sherry II book; flapped hacking pockets with ticket pocket; 1/2" shorter in length than my previous jackets.

Very nice jacket.

VG, I assume at this point you have your measurements/patterns down pat and just pick a fabric and place an order?

How many tweaks did you have to make to get there? What's the typical turn around time from ordering to receiving merchandise for Chan?

Side. Not a fan of the center vent.

At this point, I do. By my third suit, things were to the point were I felt comfortable ordering via e-mail. This time, turnaround was only about six weeks, although it's been more than two months before. If you order on the tours, it's at least a month longer.

Very nice, VG, and while I cannot see it in this photograph, I'm not surprised that you tried things a bit shorter.

Looks swell.

Excellent choice of styling + cloth. And I like the whole outfit.

Have you ever thought of going for a lower button stance? That's the one thing that really struck me about my one Chan so far.

I agree with C. about a lower button stance, but otherwise everything looks nice. I like the color--in retrospect, I wish my own donegal was more of an indigo blue.

Thanks, all, for the good words.

I'll try and get one tomorrow. The digital camera's been with my wife, who stayed behind in New Braunfels a few extra days.

I haven't. I'm fond of a higher button stance. In fact, the jacket on my Nick Lopez suit has a lower stance, and when I really think about it, it kind of irks me.

That being said, on my one-button jackets, Chan does default to a slightly lower stance.

My kids actually picked it out for Father's Day a few years ago; it's a wool Zegna.
