What do you do to your face after shaving ?

Ive pretty much always avoided shaving with a razor - it leaves my face too tender afterwords, so I usually just trim with a hair clipper and keep the stuble/5oclock shadow look, and only did close shaves with a razor for special occasions.

Now i just picked up a Philips electric razor to try out, so far no problems, my face still feels a little sensitive after but not too bad.

Usually 2 days after shaving with a razor id get little red bumps around my neck, is there any way to avoid that sorta thing?

Do you guys moisturize, or put alcohol or anything on your face after shaving ? It always has seemed like a bad idea to put anything on my face when its feeling so sensitive..

Any help is appretiated.

Yes, after rinsing my face with cold water. I use it mainly for the protection from the sun.

This is always a scary thing for me too. I feel like slathering on things will clog up my face. I use some after shave cream now though, it makes it feel much better.

Any specific brand you recommend ?

L'Occitaine CADE aftershave cream. 2.5oz tube is around $30, but lasts forever and has just the right balance of moisture, astringency, and soothing. It's pretty much the only personal care product I use that's not entirely necessary (like shaving soap and deodorant, toothpaste). Great stuff.

Sorry yes, I use both shave cream (I lather with a badger brush) and after shave moistuizer from E-Shave. I like the price and the smell. It smells amazing. Whit tea is my favorite then almond.

Haha, I was going to say "admire."

I don't do anything after I shave, dunno if that's the right thing. Then again, I'm asian.
