Just coming across the wires now, Paul Newman has died at the age of 83.

One of the all-time greats. He will be missed.

Absolutely one of the best. He was also an incredibly compassionate man (Newman's Own products anyone?). I will buy some Newman's peanut butter cups today. RIP.

I agree with the above. I'm definitely not a celebrity-news-follower and I rarely consider a celebrity outside of his/her movies I liked, but Newman seemed like a class act and a fine guy all around, in addition to being an incredible actor.

^Thanks for posting the above, Bradford. Paul was also very sexy when he was younger, I must say...

Cool Hand Luke
The Sting
The Hustler
Butch Cassidy
The Verdict
Cat on a Hot Tin Roof

The list of classic films is endless and the loss heartbreaking. A brilliant actor who gave back without any desire for recognition.

To me, he'll always be Reggie Dunlop.

Don't forget some of his efforts in the last 15 or 20 years. He played the aging hero, still seeking redemption quite well. From reprising Fast Eddie in Color of Money to the voice of Doc Hudson in Cars. He led a great life.

Great actor. Always liked his roles, even if the movie wasn't so hot. He seemed to appeal to both men and women. I liked what the article said about him saying one of his proudest achievements was to be included on Nixon's enemies list. He's one of those people that one wishes would live forever.
