Jason, sorry to keep bringing up the navy issue but are the navy worsteds shown here and here (bottom left) both made from the "upgraded" dark navy?

BTW I don't think I've ever seen a DB look as cool as the one just added to the site. I'm not quite that brave yet though...

Thanks guys, this has helped a lot. Think I'm going to go with the "upgraded dark almost midnight" as it doesn't seem too dark for my tastes. That is, I will once this month's paycheck comes in...

Hey Jason,

Just a quick question, do you make just the pants separately without the blazer?

So the Thick as Thieves suit is back from the tailor: ... and it will be going back soon because the tailor screwed up the sleeve button placement. Excuse the stupid cuffs, it's a new shirt and the sleeves are too long but it was the only clean one I had today. I tried it with another shirt and that one shows a more reasonable 1/2" cuff.

That is a fine looking suit. Great color. Looks like what I plan to order.

The jacket sleeves do appear short... Almost halfway to your elbows. I'll take your word that the shirt sleeves are the culprit, but damn...

I remain skittish about submitting my own measurements or those done by a tailor not familiar with a slim, short suit.

(Hint)

And yes, I am exaggerating about the jacket sleeves, before anyone gets their stiltskin all rumpled by my comment.

No, I agree. The sleeves look too short on the jacket.

in that pic they look too short...if he says that they otherwise show .5" then i guess it's ok

but iirc we did nonfunctional cuffs so it wouldnt be that big a deal to lengthen them as needed

I'll try to post another pic later, as that one doesn't really do it justice.

the shirt cuff looks fine but the jacket sleeve is way to short! with a shorter shirt cuff your wrist will be showing!

... Or maybe he has some abnormally long palms hiding under those cuffs? High-wristed?

In all seriousness though, I have to wrangle with my chop shop every time I get my suits altered- they want my jacket sleeves too long (no shirt showing) and my pants with uber-break. I think they're used to tailoring 5-button purple 3/4 length suits or something. A slim suit jacket needs a relatively high wrist.
Jason, nice avatar btw. I've been sporting an ACAB lapel pin on my suits at work lately. I see folks eyeballing it. I wonder if they google it.

I'll second that motion... I think the slim suits and house styling lend themselves to a lighly short jacket but I feel like that one's pushing it a bit much, sort of leaning towards too casual. Maybe like 1-2 inches long and it'd still be "short". Sleeves could also probably come down a bit too... Otherwise nice suit.

Hey Jason - has anyone ordered a DB suit yet? Or do I have to be a pioneer?
