i just moved into a new apartment and i'm gonna get a king size bed off craigslist. i want to get some nice sheets.

can anyone recommend some that are under $100?

under $50 would be better if there are any that are decent in that price range?

There are a fair amount of people selling NWT sheets on ebay for very good prices (80% or more off retail).

There are also a lot of discount sites (bluefly, smartbargains, overstock, etc) which sell sheets, so I would check around.

go to a home store at a premium Macy's (good example is south coast Macy's).

they have a table of discounted premium sheets for king/queen/cal king, etc in really good current designs as well for an excellent discount. some are even marked down to 25 bucks and so forth. calvin klein, ralph lauren, charter club, etc.
there are some really good ones. we always purchase our beddings over there.

-1.

The last set that came from Sam's (courtesy of Mrs. Thomas) started fraying and pilling in a hurry. The fabric was marked as 600 thread count, but I swear it was 600 grit.

Ha! good to know, I haven't purchased them but was thinking about it...I probably should view sheet threadcount to be as much BS as shirt threadcount...My lowest threadcount sheets are probably the softest i own.
