From what I've seen, both Fatso and Stinkie are appropriate monikers.

Of course; they've become trendy. I see them in major retailers, on "hip young people" in mass media, blah blah blah. I suspect you'll see them die out in SF soon though, as many people here can not bear the thought of wearing something that could be considered "trendy."

Of course, given the mass influx of SuFu kids, I could be wrong; the aesthetic there tends to follow current mainstream trends, and the general feel of the WAYW thread has changed a lot since they showed up... Come to think of it, have you noticed those western shirts on mostly long-time members, or recent immi....aliens? That could be your answer right there.

One of your clones is trying to express "individuality". Have him murdered.

I like that jacket much better here... perhaps I spoke too soon (or my mind's eye is myopic),

You sound a little bitter. I think a trip through WAYWT part one will show plenty of western shirts.

You'll come around... trust me. Just wait until you get a bit older and start taking clothing less seriously.

+1. What's the point, to look like a cowboy? Regular OCBD is much cleaner.

You guys serious about western shirts? You don't think you can wear one and not look like a cowboy? Hey joey, not everyone's goal in fashion/clothing is to look "clean", ever think of that? Do people really think americana/western type stuff is super trendy? No offense to brutus and whodini, but they look the opposite of what most people would consider "trendy". BTW, i've seen western type shirts in mall stores like Buckle, Guess, american eagle, and others for the the past 5 years since i can remember clothes in stores.

if anyone thinks western shirts have suddenly "become trendy" then he needs to get out more

Point well taken Chrono. I guess it's just a personal preference for not sticking extra flaps, buttons etc. right up front on myself. Also I actually do use the single pocket on a regular OCBD as a short-term stash for glasses, phone, airline boarding pass etc., for whatever reason it seems that would be weird if there were two pockets. Again, just personal preference.
