Yeah, I feel your pain Stazy. People used to ask me the same thing only 2 years ago. It doesn't help that I can only grow one facial hair a week.

Okay so you have a rolling bag. Fine. You have a bad back or you're just a p****. It's crowded so pick the damned thing up instead of thinking you're due three times the space the rest of us are. And when you run over me with it, which causes me to kick it, knocking it into the back of your knees, have the decency to say "sorry," or excuse me." Don't stare at me as if I've done something wrong. Ass.

Arrrrgh, so many reasons to hate people.

^I've had that happen SO many times, b, you can't imagine. In my case, it's usually non-traditional students who have those rolling backpacks and run over me as I'm on my way to teach.

In a similar vein of poor manners that are irritating, people who get on a bus or on an elevator before you have the chance to get off. When they knock into or past you, invariably they look at you like YOU are the one being inconsiderate.

That's why I usually take the stairs... or drive.

Don't ride the Midosuji line in Osaka...those Kansai obachans will barrel through you to get a seat.

I've been carded a few times in the last couple of months. For beer.

I just stay out of Osaka altogether... you people are CRAZY! And when they say "summa-hen" after knocking you down, you know that they don't mean it.

Surely you have reached the age where this is a positive. Perhaps you don't see the benefit because your married?

I don't understand how these student loans work. How can I use them to pay tuition? How can I use them to pay for other ****?

**** all of this bureaucratic nonsense, I'm going to lose it.

Unless things have changed, they give you a check (or it's direct deposited). Then you write a check to your Uni. Or to the bookstore. Or for rent. Whatever. There may even be an option to have it go directly to the school so things are paid automatically. But maybe not.

It's actually not that confusing.

35 years. Their marriage has always kind of sucked and the wife was just looking for one last excuse to call it quits. He gave it to her.

Thanks, I'll try that. To top things off our rhythm guitar player announced last night that he has stuff to do Saturday and won't be there until like 30 minutes before we play. Which means he doesn't get to help do all the hours of fun stuff like building the stage, running cables, sound check, etc. in the 80 degree heat.

You have a point there, but part of me gets a bit torqued because it seems unnecessary and bothersome. Like being taunted by some pimply-faced teenager who is still years away from either drinking or getting laid. ...you sure you're old enough for a whole bottle, there, Gramps?

You get $40k loan approved on June 12.
You owe the school 24k by September 1.
Sallie Mae sends 40k to the school by September 1.
After that money gets posted to your account, whatever extra there is gets disbursed in a check for 16k to you that you pick up in the financial aid office or they send to you or whatever.

In my experience, you normally get the disbursement check sometime in October. Like 4-6 weeks after school starts for processing.
