I might just be really tired, but the recent purchases thread in SW seems to have disappeared.

It's out in squirrel land now. It was probably Socal's gaudy sneakers that did it in.

I'm glad to see one of my favorite threads is back up. Anyone know why it disappeared?

apparently a couple of threads did a magical disappearing act in SWD. Fok and Brian were looking at them a couple hours ago and reinstating.

I think that there is some configuration problem that the tech people are looking into.

Sorry for the inconvenience

Sorry, I forgot to take them down. I don't see them on my browser since I have ad blocking.

After getting a couple of proxy requests today I thought that it might be convenient for board members to offer and request proxy services in a subforum of B&S. It would allow people offering the services to make a little extra money and people needing the service to save some. Is this possible?

It surprised me too but, when I thought about it from different angles, given varying countries and companies taxes, duties, shipping policies, etc., it really could save a lot of people money. I'm just throwing it out there becuase I have recieved some PMs about it today and I realized there could probably be a more efficient way of organizing such transactions rather than randomly sending someone a PM and asking for their help.

edit: I was trying to post while you were editing. I think your idea would work fine as long as people knew it was there.

Still, a subfora seems a bit much. If I started a pinned thread called My name is Proxy in WTB (since basically it is a WTB service) where you guys could all introduce yourselves....would that achieve the same?

I'm getting mixed up with our posts and edits. I think your idea would work fine if people knew it was there and if older members would refer newer members to it (most proxy requests I get are from newer members).
