Went to Odin, Jeanshop, RRL, and NDG today. Ended up liking Jeanshop the best out of all the raw slim denim I tried. NDG was a close second. Problem with RRL is that they only do even sizes and I was in between.

They do all sizes for RRL. It's just hard to find sizes sometimes.

How does the one wash selvedge version of RRL s get to be so destroyed? The back pocket bartack area is destroyed, and there's really a lot of wear on them. Why bother with Japanese selvedge and such great quality and construction when they're just going to sand it down and tumble it for hours with rocks? EDIT: like these from ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/Ralph-Lauren-Dou...d=p3286.c0.m14

^^^WTF

A one rinse is about 20min in a wash machine.

Now a treated jean is a different story. A lot goes into the wash so you dont have to break it in yourself. Sound to me like you need a raw pair.

RRL does make odd sizes. I know I have them to sell.

Any tips on find RRL stuff on the cheap in the Los Angeles area? The outlet near my house never has anything besides Polo jeans.

The Ralph Lauren store locator (not the RRL one) says there should be a new RRL store opening up in LA in October. Might get lucky there?

Here's the address:

8150 Melrose Avenue
Los Angeles, CA 90046

Hmm...that should be interesting (if true). The Malibu flagship store sure is nice and American Rag already has a great RRL selection.

There used to be an awesome RRL store on Beverly several years ago. I went to the closing sale and but this was before SF turned me into a total chick so I didn't actually buy nearly as much as I could have. I remember my gf at the time got a ton of stuff. At the time, it seemed like RRL was an experimental concept and remember thinking they were dropping it by closing the store.

I got an email saying that Barney's @ The Grove (and a handful of other retail locations) would be carrying RRL as well. Hopefully that means we can get it on sale, haha.

So between HTC, that Melrose store, American Rag, and Barney's... that area is pretty damn covered.

Are any RRL jeans unsanforized? I just purchased a pair and the colorway is noted as "Rigid". If memory serves me right, this color is the same as LEVIS 501 STF jeans, which are shrink to fit.
