Hair product similar to American Crew Fiber?

I've been using American Crew Fiber for about the last 6 months (that's how long one of those hockey pucks has lasted) but am looking for something that is easier to work into my hair. I am happy with the hold though I wouldn't mind having something a little stronger. I don't want my hair to be rock solid though. I also like the matte finish. The problem is it is time consuming to work into my hair since it is basically a solid.

Do you guys have any suggestions for me to try out? My hair is between 1 and 2 inches long and I have half asian hair. Super straight, thick, but fine.

I'm a big fan of Krew Comb wax. You can get it either in a tub or a stick. The stuff in the tub doesn't hold enough for my hair, but the stick has served me well for quite some time. It gives a matte finish and is incredibly strong. It's a solid, but if you put it in your hands before you put it into your hair it's pretty manageable.

I always liked Fudge hair shaper (http://www.fudge.com/), before I foresook it for a less sculpted look. Their products can be hard to find, but I think it's preferable to Crew: better hold, matte dry, less greasy and waxy than some brands.

Fudge Hair Shaper is in the top 5 of the best hair products. It's sticky and hard to use at first, but once you figure out how to work with it, it is amazing.

Seriously, I just bought the AC fiber for the first time - doesn't seem too hard to use, just rub it in your hands and apply to damp hair.

i love that dry look american crew stuff...put into damp hair...by the time im at work i can tousle my hair and have it look dry for the rest of the day while staying put!

Fudge matt head. It comes in a tube.
Great hold, very matt finish and easy to apply. The end result is a lot like fibre but the texture is softer.

A few people said Fudge hair shaper which is what i use now, but i find that can be greasy if you apply too much, and matt head holds for longer throughout the day.

I found matt head better when i my hair started to get a little longer, but i still wanted to shape/mess it up. hair shaper was better when my hair was very short.

I bought fudge hair shaper a few days ago. It definitely does not have the hold that crew fiber does. My hair is getting kind of long now. I'm getting a haircut tomorrow so I'll see how the hair shaper works with shorter hair.

I can see why people like hair shaper though. It seems like a good product, just not the right one for my hair right now. Smells great. I may try matte head in a few weeks when my hair gets longer again after tomorrow's haircut.

I use Redken for men disrupt. If I use a little I have a very natural look. If I use a little more I can get a mad men parted on the side look. It is sticky but very pliable.

I switched from Fiber to American Crew Forming Cream and would recommend it. Adds a bit of shine but it isn't noticeable when it dries.
