Jeez, close to $800 plus shipping. Paul Stuart's prices all of a sudden look downright reasonable! Comparable to Ben Silver's prices (around $675) for C&J Handgrades. Either way, though, in my opinion these shoes (Grensons at N&L particularly, but also at PS, and C&J Handgrades at BS) are overpriced.

Until 2003, N&L sold its upper-tier line of RTW shoes under the "Poulsen Skone" brand. N&L purchased Poulsen Skone in the 1970s. In 2003, Dunhill revamped its offerings and began selling shoes under the Poulsen Skone name, although they weren't the same shoes as those previously offered at N&L. N&L changed the brand of its more expensive shoes to "St James Collection." Dunhill's dalliance with Poulsen Skone gradually petered out and now Dunhill is selling Italian-made shoes under its own name. I guess N&L has taken back the Poulsen Skone name.

To the best I can remember, those shoes at N&L have been 395 pounds for years. A longer time ago the Poulsen Skone shoes were made by EG, but that's going back to the mid-1990s or earlier, I believe.

Nice to know the history, RJman; thanks. They've got them at 415 GBP now. Yikes!

I agree. Actually I looked at the C&J Savilles last week on Ben Silver and they were $725. That's just crazy. At any of these prices, I don't know why someone wouldn't: a)go plal, b)wait for the semi annual eg sale, or c)wait for the semi annual rl sale.
