I believe Mackays have a straight cap, no? In any case, they're EGs on the 888.

We'll call it a RLPL EG bastard child until we figure out what it is

soaped,

did you score those off the 'bay? I saw them on there last week. I was cursing the fact they were 1/2 size too big. Nice pick up. Please find out the model name, so I can keep an eye out in the future.

It's most like a Malvern, but with a different medallion. Not sure what the RLPL name for it would have been.

perhaps the Barend? although I think the Barend model has a double sole. Not sure if these do. Soaped, can you look at the shoe box and put an end to this idle speculation?

I left the shoe box out and somebody thought it was trash. Needless to say it is now somewhere but not here

Does EG make riding boots?

Can anyone ID all the shoes on the table? Shoe Fairy, Bengal, Jacuzzi, A Harris?

I'll give it a try, start from the far left side around the 9:00 position

1. suede cap toe derby: Whittier
2. suede 2-eyelet with tasseled lace: don't know or too lazy to check the pic index
3. Newbury with medallion
4. Asquith/MacKay
5. Malverne
6. Double monk: Westminster
7. Slight past 6:00 postion: Falmouth
8. Southwold
9. Kingsway
10. Don't know, same as #2 but in calf
11. Whittier
12. It looks like a derby with peaked cap, don't know
13. Inverness

How do I do?

Edward Green used to make the boots for the Household Cavalry, but not any more:

In that picture, taken at the old EG factory (now John Lobb), you'll find a pair hanging from the shelves.
"˜Old England' also exhibits a sample of the Household Cavalry boots.

I believe the boots displayed on the table are also of historical interest only.
