I have the navy suit along with three others from the spring/summer collection. I did try on the grey Herringbone but didn't buy it because it is a 2 button and I prefer 3 button suits. The suits are of high quality and fit me very well.

Do notice that the navy suit has white MoP buttons, which for most people would confine it to spring/summer; that is, unless you switch the buttons.

How about trouser sizings? Website doesn't give detailed info, what would be trouser sizes for 40 and 42R?
I guess switching the buttons will be the way to go.Also, how are these suits compared to RLBL/RLPL?(qualitywise)

I don't know the waist size on the pants; I have to have the trousers taken in about an inch and a half. However, I have a significant drop.

I'm a 40 which conformed to a BB2. I'd rather let out the pants on a 40 than try to "tailor down" the jacket. Great construction - but I have other Caruso suits that fit better. Worth a shot if you can return the items. Personally, I found the Thom Browne details more distracting than appealing.

So did BB2 jacket fit you pretty well? Some say that you have to size up,I am a bit confused.I am 40 as well and contemplating between BB2 and BB3. You are right,it's always easier to adjust the pants but not the jacket.

I would certainly say with Brooks Brothers that they'll be doing a six inch drop unless they state otherwise - which means a 40 will have 34 inch waist, and a 42 a 36 inch. That said, listen to the posts above, and do buy the jacket size properly (you could request a different waist size from BB, they likely are more than happy to comply) and it is much easier to let out the waist (for 2 inches at most) than to take in the chest, an ajustment which should not be attempted.

Actually,Black Fleece may have a higher drop,I know BB 1818 line Regent and Fitzgeralds have a 7 inch drop, for a 40R suit, you would have a 33W and they are pretty slim.I am just wondering if this is the case with Black Fleece as well.I guess the best route will be to try on the garments, maybe the store can order the suits in.

Saw one "in the wild" the other day in a meeting (worn by an accountant, no less). Looked ok - the hang tag in the back was odd.

hey, did you see that several black fleece items are on sale? the BB website has some (including suits, from $975 at sale price), I imagine the flagship has more of a selection. Actually, in looking at the sale items they are prices a human being might actually pay for some of those things!

for example--

raglan coat Reg. $2500.00 Sale: $875.00

cardigan sweater Reg. $800.00 Sale: $210.00

herringbone vest Reg. $1200.00 Sale: $420.00

suit Reg. $2700.00 Sale: $1012.50

grey flannel suit Reg. $2700.00 Sale: $945.00

chalkstripe flannel suit Reg. $2700.00 Sale: $945.00

enjoy.

Those suits are too extreme for me,they make you look like a school boy.Above posted ones seem to be ok,I wish they went down to 945 as well.

For some strange reason, I almost want to buy THIS COAT... If I was 20 years younger, I would...

40 or BB2 was definitely my size. They are not as slim as Polo Black Label which I do need to size up for (42). Fit was good but not great for me. Fit wasn't as good as the Eredi Pisano suit I was wearing (Castangia) and they cost less so I passed on the BF and went back to Pisano.
