Try them on and see which is a better fit for your feet. Alden Indy's just don't work for some feet.

indy, make sure you get to try it on though. indy's fit bigger than tagged and sometimes a larger width is key for the perfect fit

common rule of thumb with the tru-balance last, which is what the indy is on, is sizing down 1/2 your normal size.

I went down a full size to 7.5 and increased the width to eee. Much better fit than going down half a size and keeping a D width. It obviously varies, but glad I did it

So, they fit narrow? They sure don't look like it.

It's a really snug and structured boot compared to something like a White's Semi Dress. It really holds your foot and it does take some getting used too. My whites on the other hand support the foot but allow plenty of room inside to spread out your toes, which the Indy simply does not allow.

Really, get them both. You'll have them forever.

I, or course, say you should get the Indy's first because I have them and they're amazing. I basically got about a 1/2 size down and went with the C width. Perfect fit. I have a fairly narrow foot but nothing dramatic. Order from the shoemart and return them if they aren't perfect. In the end all your out is return shipping. Worth it to get it right on a pair of boots over $300.
