Any thoughts on this tie? (How long before I grow sick of it?)

Im eyeng this Robert Talbott tie, the pic is pretty close to the way it looks in person-- very gold, a ton of detail and depth.

But, will this thing date easily?

Or would you grow tired of it quickly?

Here

Any thoughts appreciated!

To answer the question in the subject line - 597974809734350 seconds. Seriously, only you can answer if you will get sick of it.

The tie is incredibly ugly. Please don't buy it.

It looks like the versace tie from the 90's, not a good thing to wear today.

I'd pass unless you already own a collection of these sort of ties and are confident of the staying power it would have you.

For $140 (or whatever it ends up going for), I'd pass.
Someone on here were settling these same Talbott 7 folds for $75 I think.

That would be Dennis (Osprey Guy) ... and I think he may have a couple left.

I'd pass on, especially for one hundred and forty dollars. The only place I would personally wear this is if I was going clubbing (when I used to do that), and even then probably not.

That is one ugly and expensive tie. Save the money for something more attractive.

You'd be out of your mind to pay that kind of dough for a RT tie, even a handsome one.

My eyes are seriously damaged now, how about you spend money on my eye surgery instead?

That tie, along with a few others rather disappointingly ugly Talbott seven folds are at my local Nordstrom rack for 30 bucks from 225. Goes to show that it doesn't matter if its hand made and limited to 40, if its ugly you don't buy it.
