If you do a search, you'll read nothing but praise for the Mora.

I recently purchased a pair for $129 on the 'bay from the Allen Edmonds store. I should be receiving them today....will give my opinion of them as soon as I can.

they're a 149.99 bin on ebay from allen edmonds, and with the 20% cashback, effectively $120 plus shipping. very good deal.

i already have 2 different suede AE's, and numerous monkstraps (i think 4), so i passed on these and went for the Taunton boot. But still, very sharp shoes.

edit: I think the cashback is for Americans only, not Canadians. You might be able to get it anyway by signing in and bidding on the USA ebay site.

What's this 20% cash back?

I have some from the recent eBay crop. They were advertised as seconds but they shipped a first quality pair. They are a great looking shoe in any of the three finishes but suede may be the nicest.

The suede moras stretch more readily than their calf counterpart, don't they? I seem to remember reading that on here at one point. I have brown calf 12D, which aren't completely perfect but are fairly close (I could have gone to 11.5E, but not 12C). think 11.5D in suede would work?

My guess is that the "seconds" is their boilerlpate ebay verbiage b/c that's mostly what they move through ebay, but since the Moras were discontinued most of what's available through the outlets is first-quality stock. I think I paid about $170 for mine 6 months ago when the AE outlet stores were running their sale.

I've got two pair. Bought the firts pair a while ago, then added a second pair when AE discontinued the Mora and prices went even lower.

Two things about the Mora that I've noticed:
  • The heel area is loose. Some Dr. Scholls-like inserts took up the exta space and the fit now is excellent,
  • The silver rectangular buckles are unflattering. I took my Moras to a cobbler and had the buckles switched to dull brass.
