Clippers fucked or what?

The East is so weak now. Boston is getting old. Detriot is.... Detriot. Now that leaves what? LeBron, 76ers, and the Magic?

IMO I'm not convinced either GS or the Clippers will be a factor now, there's been some costly transactions made via both teams.

Now that Baron, no longer has Brand or Maggette to work with it....their done!

Agreed. Some GMs just seem to think they need activity, any kind of activity, just so they can look busy.

I'm late to the party.

Question! Will Yao Ming return better than ever to the Houston Rickets next season or is he on the inevitable injury prone decline?

This year will be the determining factor, if he sustains another serious injury, it can be assumed that he's injury plagued.

Extensive injuries is a common thing in players of his stature, especially in regards to knees, ankles and feet.

It makes absolutely no sense. Now I know Brand was a free-agent, but I was somewhat interested to see how he and Davis would play together (if I was Baron...I would be disappointed after signing that contract). The Clips could have been a pretty relevant team again, with Baron, Mobley and Brand(we pretty much knew Maggette was on his way out).

Those dang Duke players messed up the Clippers.

By all accounts, the Clippers were going to be able to very nearly match any offer from the Sixers (and probably the Warriors), and were willing to do so, but Brand (or his agent, or both) wanted to get off the Clippers. Speculation I've read so far is that he wanted out of the West, where it wasn't clear the Clips could even so much as make the playoffs, despite the Davis/Brand combo, and the Sixers look like a much better shot to go deep into the playoffs and maybe get a little lucky. Can't say I blame him.

Good point, especially if Iggy plays like he did last year, how is he still not recognized?

....I thought was attempting to aquire Josh Smith.

I vote "injury-prone". Guys his size take a tremendous pounding just getting up and down the court. I hope I'm wrong, though.

The Clippers could have been special with a core of Brand, Baron, and Kaman, but now....

The Raptors signing Calderon was not all that great IMHO. He's a good secondary player but not a starter for a team aspiring to be a contender.
